About the school:
The school provides a place where students and young researchers can learn from invited leading scientists, discuss their own research plans and link to each other. Traditionally, the school takes place in the relaxing environment of the Czech-Moravian highlands, half way between Prague and Brno.
The school is organized as the 21st Summer School of The International Union for Vacuum Science, Techniques and Applications (IUVSTA) which endorsed it through the Nanometer Structures Division.
The school is also a part of the outreach activities of the Horizon Europe projects ALL2GaN – Affordable smart GaN IC solutions for greener applications (KDT Joint undertaking no. 101096884) and Pilatus (no. 101084046). Other projects involved are International Visegrad-Korea project (LUASK22202), Quantum materials for applications in sustainable technologies (QM4ST), (OP JAK Excellent Research CZ.02.01.01/00/22_008/0004572).
The school is also supported by the Czech Academy of Sciences through the Strategy AV21 initiative. The school is also part of the activities of the large research infrastructure CzechNanoLab supported by the LM2023051 project of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic.
